What Are the H.E.R.O. Awards?

The H.E.R.O. Awards was brought into life by the International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF) and Orolia/McMurdo in 2016 to raise awareness and recognition of the hard-working individuals and organisations making maritime Search and Rescue possible.

The H.E.R.O. Awards:

minilogoimrf Raise awareness of the excellent work done by all those involved in the maritime SAR community, with the aim of increasing government, commercial and public recognition, support and funding;
minilogoimrf Reward the selfless efforts and achievements of individuals who make sacrifices to save lives, on the water or in support;
minilogoimrf Raise awareness of innovative SAR products, technologies and processes with the aim of spreading ideas for improvement.

Nominate Your H.E.R.O.

The IMRF H.E.R.O. Awards 2017 recognise and thank individuals and teams for the technical innovation, coordination and on-scene participation that make vital contributions to maritime search and rescue.

Nominations for the 2017 H.E.R.O. Awards will remain open until 23:59 hours (UK time) on 28 July 2017. Those wishing to enter the H.E.R.O. Awards must complete a Nomination Form.
